How MINDSCAN Turns a Test into a Career Plan

A parent usually calls or sends a WhatsApp message. Their child is in Class 10 or 12 and the pressure to pick the right stream is building. Sometimes a working professional in their thirties reaches out because they feel stuck in a job that does not fit them. We hear their story and suggest the MINDSCAN assessment as the first step.
The student or professional takes the psychometric assessment from home on a laptop or phone. It measures aptitude, interests and personality through a set of questions that take about an hour. No preparation is needed. The answers give us an honest baseline of what the person is naturally good at and what they enjoy.
The result is a 75-page MINDSCAN report. It maps the test taker’s aptitude, interests and personality to more than twenty career groups. Charts and simple explanations make it easy to read. Families often tell us the report alone clears up many doubts they had about their child’s strengths.

The report is strong at showing patterns, but it cannot consider marks, budget or family circumstances. A high score in a career group does not mean it is the right choice if the entrance exam cut-off is far away or the course fees are beyond reach. That is why we never send the report without a counselling session unless the family asks for it.
In the counselling session, I or a counsellor from our team sit with the family online. We go through the report page by page. We connect the dots between the report findings, the student’s board marks, the family’s budget, and what feels right to the child. Parents can attend the whole session and ask questions freely. The session lasts forty-five to sixty minutes.

By the end of the session, we arrive at a short list of two or three career options. We also give a next-step plan: which subjects to choose, which entrance exams to target, or how to plan a job switch. The family leaves with a clear direction instead of a long list of possibilities.
We recommend starting from Class 8 onwards. At that age, a child has enough self-awareness for the assessment to be reliable, but there is still time to explore and build skills without board exam pressure. Early guidance helps avoid the common mistake of choosing a stream because of relatives’ advice or peer pressure.
Our team is available seven days a week from 9 am to 5 pm on phone or WhatsApp at +91-9140604743. Schools can test whole classes, and counsellors can join our partner programme. We work fully online, so families from any part of India can reach us.
